Left for dead on a sun-singed planet, outlaw Riddick (Vin Diesel) battles for survival against outsider predators more deadly than any human he has yet experienced. His desire for getaway is to enact a crisis reference point, however that brings with it an alternate issue: hired fighters. The principal boat conveys a particularly rough and deadly gathering; the second is driven by a man from Riddick's past. With time running out, Riddick understands that not one or the other gathering will leave without his head as trophy.
